SF Cutters Meeting Sponsorship Agreement

SF Cutters is looking for sponsors for its monthly meeting. We meet the last Wednesday of every month in San Francisco.

SF Cutters is the worlds first Final Cut Pro User Group. Started by Kevin Monahan, Sharon Franklin and Liza Maine Seybold in March 2000, SF Cutters provides a vital service to Final Cut Pro Users in the Bay Area. SF Cutters attracts some of the finest minds in the field of digital editing for film and video. Our meetings and list-serve are open to anyone with an interest in digital media, digital editing, motion graphics, film-making and multimedia production utilizing Final Cut Pro.

Our mailing list reaches over 1500+ Final Cut Pro Users every month. Our meetings are well attended. Featured speakers regularly include Final Cut Pro Authors such as Kevin Monahan, Motion author Mark Spencer and other industry luminaries such as Walter Murch, Sharon Rutter, Sharon Franklin, Adam Wilt, Alex Lindsay and others.

SF Cutters regularly supports other Bay Area user groups, and teams with other organizations to provide special events such as the guest speaker presentation by Walter Murch at Fort Mason in conjunction with Film Arts Foundation in September 2004.

In addition SF Cutters guarantees you the right to submit up to three press releases or "specials" during any 6 month period you are a current paid sponsor, to be included in our newsletter. (Note: SF Cutters reserves the right to edit and/or rewrite your press release or special to fit the style of its newsletter.)

For All Sponsors

Either SF Cutters or Sponsor may cancel the agreement at any time within the specified period with guarantee of money back, pro-rated to date cancellation notification received or specified, whichever is later, and subject to a 20% processing fee.

SF Cutters guarantees no special privilege beyond what is stated above.

From time to time SF Cutters may present or participate in special events on its own or with other groups such as the Final Cut Pro User Group MacWorld and NAB parties, special public speaker and workshop events, and raffles. Sponsors may be approached to support these activities as well. These are separate agreements above and beyond "Meeting Sponsorship" and sponsors and supporters will be acknowledged appropriately as support to these events is committed.

Levels of Sponsorship

Platinum: $300/month, three month minimum commitment
minimum payments of ($300 x 3 = $900)

Gold: $200/month, four month minimum commitment
Minimum payments of ($200 x 4 = $800)

Silver: $ 100/month, six month minimum commitment
Minimum payments of ($100 x 6 = $600)

Sponsorship may be renewed for the same terms or any multiple of the minimum for each category.

At the end of each agreed sponsorship period, you may cancel. Renewals will be continued at the same rate or may be subject to raises as our organizational rates increase. It is also at the discretion of SF Cutters to decline a continuation or acceptance of a sponsor.

SF Cutters promises to send out an e-mail "blast" as part of its monthly newsletter to its membership (1500+ as of this writing) thanking you for your support.

SF Cutters will place your logo on our website (www.sfcutters.org) on the sponsors page (www.sfcutters.org/pages/sponsors.html) for the designated period beginning as soon as payment arrives. The logo will also be visible in the sidebar of a majority of the pages posted at sfcutters.org

Logo placements on the home page, are reserved for special event sponsors and such placements are handled separately.
Platinum: about 300 x 75 px (big banner)
Gold: about 150 x 75 px (big logo)
Silver: about 100 x 50 (regular size logo)

SF Cutters reserves the right adjust the size of the logo and to place the logo where it will best fit the layout of the page and the site.
